So long, 2012...

Posted On Monday, December 31, 2012

As the hours wind down on 2012, I can't help but look back on what an amazing year it's been!  So many accomplishments to be proud of, balanced a minute amount of missteps (and honestly, I'm proud of those too!).  This absolutely has been the GREATEST year of my career and I'm so pleased to have shared it with so many friends, fans and generally awesome people!

Instead of listening to me wax, take a sec and check out the 2012 Wrap-Up issue of On the Horizon:

Open publication - Free publishing - More 2012

And even with all that, there were a few bits I didn't include:
-- Taking part in Independents Day at the invite of Ken Eppstein of Nix Comics!

-- Meeting Kevin Smith and giving him a carepackage of V:IP books!

-- Producing a sweet 8 bit poster to promote screenwriter, Damon Mosley's IndieGogo project, Everlasting!

-- Getting a sneak peek at the first episode of The Walking Dead on Robert Kirkman's phone at NYCC!

-- Hooking up with on printing -- great quality at an even better price!

-- Doing U Cre-8 presentations at  Franklin Park Conservatory!

-- Joining up with other local creators for the Goodale Music Festival series!

My hats off to you, 2012...but 2013 is going to be EVEN BETTER!!

I can't even say how excited I am to learn that Vantage:Inhouse Productions has THREE titles up for nomination for the 2012 SPACE Prize!

Awards won't be announced until next year's show (April 13-14th, 2013), but you can best believe we're not sitting back waiting!  I'm already prepping what new entries we'll have ready for the next year and it'll only get better from there!  If you're in the area or plan to make it out this way, I'll see you at the show!!!

Let's go SHOPPING!

Our friends at Mutant Cactus have had PHENOMENAL success with their Etsy shop this year and after nearly as long of their urging and pushing, we've finally jumped on board and opened a store of our own!!

Introducing the VIP8Bits Store!  So far, we've only put up some of our NEWEST 8 bit designs (like Harry Potter, My Little Pony and Dr. Who), but you'll soon get as many things as we can get poppin', including some brand new merch that we've been considering for some time!  I'm sure you'll see PLENTY of cool 8 bit/pixel art pieces to add to your collection!
